Living Life to the Fullest

What does it mean to live life to the fullest? As we have seen, the purpose of life is growth and development and eventual discovery of the divine part within. This being the case we can assume that any day that we realize the optimum growth that that day contains for us, we have lived that day to the fullest.

Any day that we do not grow, we do not live, we die!

How then may we attain our full potential as human beings every day? What is the secret of achieving perfection?

As always, the truth is simple. The secret of perfection is as simple as apple pie. To make a good apple pie, you need certain ingredients, which in the proper combinations and right amount of loving care comes out of the oven a sweet and juicy, golden brown. The better the ingredients and care in preparation, the greater and more perfect the results.

But certainly you would think that the perfection of a human was much more complicated than the process just mentioned. There has to be some secret not known to man or some decree of fate that enables one human to rise superior to the others. Not at all.

The secret to human perfection is securing the quality ingredients in the proper proportions and with the right amount of tender loving care. Let's take a brief look at the nine ingredients you need to grow every day and to live life to the fullest. They are:

1. Fresh Air--Air is the most vital element known to man, yet lightly regarded by scientists. It contains not only oxygen and nitrogen, but all elements in trace form. Also, air contains positively and negatively charged particles (or ions) of energy. The human organism is equipped with a wiring system to transmit these charges. Every electrical devise has two wires which plug into the wall and into the device. One transmits positive current, the other negative. When the two arc together, the result is light, heat and energy.

In man, these two wires are known as the right and left sympathetic nerves, paralleling the spinal cord. The positive and negative ions or currents are taken in through the nostrils, (provided for that purpose.) The positive ions are transmitted by the right sympathetic nerve and the negative by the left. This is the current of the body. When it arcs in the neurons of the brain, the organism is "on" or alive. The brain and spinal cord, with its attendant nervous system, transmits this electrical force to all parts of the body. Without the current of the vital electricity, you could not be "on" or alive. If you reduce the amount of current you reduce the amount of life and power. Half current, half alive; full current, 100% alive! You can see the necessity of securing for yourself a plentiful supply of good clean air every day. Perhaps this is what the ancient masters meant when they said, "The life essence is in the infinite air we breathe!"

2. Good clean Water--85% of the body is water. We not only need water in the production of new cells, but it is necessary for the dilution of toxic poisons that enter the body or that are produced in the body by fermentation and putrefaction of impure foods, as well as the deadly cargo of wastes from cell metabolism. We need plenty of good clean water inside and out to irrigate the organism and to keep it clean and pure.

3. Direct Sunshine--The rays of the sun are important to health because they stimulate chemical changes in the skin. Also the nucleus of the cells receives cosmic rays (ions of energy) which it later converts to organic minerals. The nucleus is the sun of the cellular world. The rays of the sun stimulate and activate the entire organism.

4. Pure Diet--The cause of death, disease, senility and decrepitude is the gradual corrosion of the organism from the inside out. This corrosion is the result of the gradual build-up of fatty substance, cholesterol, mucus, earthy matter, mineral deposits, acid crystals, inorganic chemicals (medicines, drugs, preservatives, etc.), and undigested decaying food substances. As the systems of tubes and pipes (the arteries, veins, capillaries), begin to clog up with collected deposits, this restricts the flow of blood and hence all other vital nutrients and life-giving oxygen. With this comes deterioration, sickness, pain and eventual demise of the organism. Except for the poisons that enter man's blood through his lungs (and they are many and horrifyingly dangerous), all the rest of the death and disease elements enter through his mouth.

The secret of youth and longevity lies in keeping the blood stream pure and a good supply of air to the lungs. The poisons from metabolism and other sources are exchanged in the lungs. The body comes equipped with its own crematory. The way to have a pure blood stream is to live in a pure environment (if you can find one!), and eat a pure diet.

There are three food sources which can be consumed that will not ultimately lead to damage of the body, and will not leave earthy matter, fatty substance, mucus, etc., to "thicken the blood."

These three foods are:

a. Fresh Fruits
b. Green Leafy Starchless Vegetables
c. Nuts

Whole wheat and grains (unprocessed), lean meats, fish, and various types of beans are less perfect than the first group, but far superior to animal fat, processed, devitalized foods, refined sugars, starches, white flour (breads and pastries made with such), fried and heavily seasoned foods. The worst group of all is the condiments--pepper, salt, confectionery sugar, coffee, tobacco, alcohol, tea, soft drinks, carbonated sugar drinks, sugared candies and artificial colors, flavorings and preservatives, etc. This is not meant to be a book on diet. There are many available now, and all people concerned with living any kind of good life at all should pursue the matter in further detail. "Health is our greatest wealth." Health is not a gift; it is a reward of keeping the blood stream pure.

5. Vigorous Exercise and Stretching--A healthy body is a strong body. Our bodies were given to us to use. It is the very use that makes it grow and become strong. When you don't use the body or some part, it maintains for a time, and then degenerates. This is also true of the mind. Good exercise stimulates the circulatory system, digestive system, nervous system, respiratory system, glandular system; in short, exercise stimulates the entire system to the benefit of the whole.

You can't have vigor and vitality without vigorous exercise. The best exercises are running, swimming, cycling, walking, climbing, stretching, etc.

Stretching keeps the body limber, loose, agile, graceful and free. Decrepitude is mostly a process of stiffening and tightening of the muscles and tendons. Stay loose and keep physically fit through exercise.

6. Good Sound Sleep and Relaxation--Sleep is nature's great restorer. In sleep, our breathing is automatic and all conscious faculties are suspended. The body is recharged and refreshed for another day of experience. During sleep, much tension is relieved and the automatic functions of cell repair, digestion and respiration, etc., can take place undisturbed. Sleep is essential not only to health and vitality, but to happiness.

7. Positive, Care-Free Attitude--As we have seen, the mental state is all important to happiness and well-being. It is impossible to live a higher life if your mind is filled with negative and discordant mental states. We're not saying you can't have responsibilities and be happy. We are saying that you should have the degree of mental control to reverse negative mental states into their opposites. At the end of the day, you should be able to lay your responsibilities down and engage in more pleasant activities. Disharmony in the mind, if it persists over long periods of time, will manifest in physical illness. You can not live the higher life unless your mental and physical machinery are running smoothly.

8. Good Mental Stimulation--By this, we mean good food for thought and enthusiastic participation of the mind in activities that make you feel happy. By reading good books, stimulating conversation and thinking about the higher phases of life, we keep our mind attuned to the good. By doing what makes us happy, we find joy.

9. Freedom--At last, the mind can not grow and the soul can not unfold unless it is free. Freedom is like a sixth sense; you must have it to enjoy the other five! You must have freedom of choice in securing for yourself the other eight ingredients of perfection. If you can not choose your own environment, your own diet, your own thoughts, etc., you are not free. If you are not free to follow your natural inclinations, you are enslaved. If you are forced to work at a job that you dislike for five days out of the week, fifty weeks a year, you are an economic slave.

If you are to realize all that life has in store for you, the first prerequisite is that you secure some degree of personal freedom. Freedom of thought, freedom of choice and the freedom to do whatever you really want to do. How else will you find happiness for your self, unless you can do what your heart desires. You can not find your highest joys in following the dictates of someone else. You must be free to live life to the fullest.

Fresh air and sunshine, good clean water and pure organic diet, vigorous exercise, a positive, harmonious mental attitude and good mental stimulation through inspiring thought and enjoying the finest things life has to offer, are quality ingredients you need to acquire, in the proper proportions, with the right amount of tender loving care, to nurture the living organism known as man to the highest level of perfection.

A moment's meditation and reflection upon this will reveal to you, "Yes, this is the knowledge for which 'I' have been searching." The Real and Genuine Secrets of Perfection. But it is not a secret, ONLY COMMON SENSE!

Any living thing can be raised to perfection if the optimum conditions for growth are supplied!

For YOU to achieve the state of perfection you so desire, it at once becomes necessary to supply the requisite ingredients.

And what is the ONE thing that will secure these ingredients rapidly and efficiently?

AN AWAKENED MIND!

A mind that knows all its latent forces and how to use them. A mind that knows its own

DYNAMIC POTENTIAL!

If you are still slumbering in self-imposed ignorance and darkness

AWAKE!!

Once these facts penetrate the fog and mist of mind conditioned, brain-washed slumber, it all becomes very clear.

The only thing that stands between you and the equilibrium, the balance, the ideal, is your lack of ideal growing conditions.

You ask, "How then may I supply these ingredients as soon as possible????" These ingredients may be supplied most efficiently through the instrumentality of the AWAKENED MIND.

"How then may 'I' achieve this wonderful power of an awakened mind?"

The best instructions any Guru or Teacher could give regarding awakening the latent forces of the mind is the following:

An awakened, self-realized Mind can be achieved only one way and that is simply, REALIZE!!!

Look into the Heavens and Realize; Look at the mountains and Realize; Look at the ocean, the desert, the jungles and forests, the trees, a seashell, a butterfly, a flower, a bird; look in your backyard, and Look at Yourself...Look in every "nook and cranny" and

REALIZE,

It is all governed and controlled by Absolute, Perfect LAW!!

The more you dwell on perfection, the more it will be revealed to you! Soon, you become aware of the multidimensional aspects of perfection. Each minor or singular perfection blends with each other minor perfection. In time, one reaches the lofty stages of perception where he experiences lighting flashes of the Perfection of the Whole!

As the mental powers grow stronger, the more one can extend the "Flashes of Cosmic Perfection" into more enduring states of consciousness.

When these thought patterns or energies become continuous and habitual, you are established in the Real! the Ideal! You are fully AWAKE!

Once you understand the principles and laws of life, you can then see practical matters much more clearly. It is hoped that these lessons have provided you with some understanding of life and its laws. In this, the last lesson of the course, we must deal with practical matters. In our society today, what is the best way to have freedom and power to supply the ingredients of perfection and live a higher life? If you know anything about modern life, you know the answer to this is MONEY!

Our society has evolved to the point where if you want the higher life, you have to buy it.

We are not saying that all people with money are living the higher life. On the contrary, many of them lead a miserable existence. What we ARE saying is, that in our society the ingredients of perfection can be obtained most quickly and efficiently if we are wealthy enough to buy them. This is especially true of FREEDOM.

If you are chained by the economic struggle for survival, it is most difficult to live life to the fullest. After all, if you spend your time working for someone else, where will you find time to work on yourself. Most people are too busy earning a living to live.

Professor Hilton Hotema, in his great work, "Man's Higher Consciousness," speaks of civilization thusly,

"Wage earners are economic slaves, the lowest of which is the common laborer.

We would not be far wrong to say that civilization is composed chiefly of capitalists and their hirelings. The hirelings are the economic slaves who are dependent on others for a living. They have no time to acquire knowledge, and are not noted for their wisdom. The position they fill is proof of their mental inferiority, and they are in the great majority in civilization.

This vast majority constitutes the servants of commercialism. They spend their days in weakening work and degrading toil. They have little opportunity for physical, mental and spiritual development. They must look for light to those who live on the fruits of their labor. If they found the true light, it would soon end their days of economic slavery. So their mind, their education and their religion must be controlled in order to keep them in darkness."

The fact that it requires money for freedom and overcoming the economic struggle is in no way bad, it is good.

Money is merely a medium of exchange. It is something you receive in exchange for goods or services produced by you, which you exchange for the goods and services of others.

For the student of the higher life, money is God's green energy. It is through the powers of money that he can control the forces of his environment and secure every good thing that will aid in his comfort, well-being and growth.

In our society, we can live life to the fullest in proportion to how much of it we can afford to enjoy.

The fact that every individual has creative and volitionary power, is the free ticket for creating as much personal wealth as required by you, to live whatever type of life you want.

Always remember that money is not an end in itself. It is merely a means to an end. The virtue of money lies not in what it is, but in what it can do.

The power of money is not vested in those that possess it, but in what they do with it. Money, like the creative powers can bring about your destruction or perfection depending upon how it is used.

The general rule of money is, you have as much as you understand! You will receive money, for what you can exchange in the forms of goods and services that are produced by you. You will only receive more when you have something more to offer, when you yourself are more.

When you come to the realization of how fast you could speed up your personal evolution with money, you can see how natural it is to apply all your higher powers in achieving it.

After you have trained the conscious mind to be attentive, perceptive and aware, direct it in finding opportunities for growth and advancement.

After you have trained the higher powers to carry out the dictates of the "I," direct it in securing for you the knowledge, the skill, the people, the circumstances and opportunities for becoming wealthy and prosperous.

Once you have realized the truth of creative visualization begin visualizing and accepting yourself as a wealthy and prosperous individual. See yourself in abundance and profusion. Back these mental images with the power of desire and faith and intensify them with affirmations of power and mastery.

As the opportunities present themselves, seize each and every one of them no matter how small and acknowledge gratefully the higher powers for another step higher.

Richness of life is the result of a rich consciousness. Success is a state of mind. External riches can be measured with one yard stick. And that is the amount of the nine vital elements of perfection you possess now. If you have them all, you can not hope to be richer.

Every man has the right to be rich. Whether he exercises that right is up to him. But a person that settles for less has only cheated himself.

As Robert A. Russell stated in "You too can be prosperous,"

"The Law of Supply is no respecter of persons. Since like produces like and since the law of cause and effect works in the same way for all persons at all times, anybody that follows the law will infallibly demonstrate an abundant supply."

Even as early as 1909, Judge T. Troward in "The Edinburgh Lectures on Mental Science" speaking of every man's right to apply the higher laws said, "We are dealing with a purely impersonal force, and it will no more oppose us by specific plans of its own than will steam or electricity".

So it is in every man's hands to mould and make his life in exact accord with what he would have it. The universe is sympathetic with your desires. Nature wants you to satisfy your desires as much or more than you want to satisfy them yourself. Discontent is nature's prime method of motivation. The chrysalis that has grown to the capacity of its bindings struggling from the pressure of the evolutionary force, is similar to a man who is disgusted with his station in life.

If you are not happy in all phases of your life, that's good. That is nature's way of telling you that you are doing something wrong. When the pain gets bad enough you'll do something about it. Don't try to camouflage your discontent with a false mask of complacency. Instead nurture that discontent until the pain of discomfort forces you to action.

We are not saying that you should lose your peace of mind because there is something you lack. All we are saying is once you've decided what it is you really want out of life, you should set forth with all your powers to achieve it and not let up until it is had.

We have seen that all power is within you and that you have an inalienable right to enjoy every good thing life has to offer. We've also seen that in our society you can enjoy as much of life as you are rich enough to afford. We've also seen that our life conforms to exactly what is in our consciousness. It is now time for you to enter into your consciousness the image of the highest life one can conceive. In your creative visualizations you must incorporate into your ideal of the perfect self the idea of riches, wealth, prosperity, opulence and abundance.

See yourself in your minds eye, healthy, radiant and zestful living the highest life you can conceive.

THE FACT THAT IT CAN BE VISUALIZED IS PROOF THAT IT CAN BE REALIZED!

As you enter the new life ahead, in your encounters with the wonders of creation, allow each of nature's miracles to remind you of your own perfection.

All phases of existence, from the sub-atomic to the intergalactic are governed and ordained by a supercosmic intelligence who's creative will is manifesting as unfailing, universal LAW!

You Dear Individual, partake of the same creative power and volitionary force in your finite existence.

It is through these latent forces that you, the individual, shall manipulate your mind, life, destiny, circumstances and station in life.

It is only because of your preoccupation with phenomenal appearances that you have been unaware of your inner nature and power.

Stop NOW and decide what your idea of perfection is. Once you have this vision clearly in mind, remind yourself that you are perfect now!

Each time you remind yourself that you are perfect now, you will open ever so slightly the channel through which the spirit of perfection shall flow.

Therefore, remind yourself constantly,

I AM PERFECT RIGHT NOW!

This will impress upon the neurons of the brain an habitual thought pattern. When this pattern or circuit is complete and automatic, you have established in your conscious and sub-conscious the foundations of greatness.

Dwell constantly on YOUR image of perfection!

Let your living meditation be:

"I" am a perfect expression of a perfect creator. Only because of my ignorance of my own nature and powers have "I" allowed the inharmonies that are now vanishing from my mind, life and circumstances.

"I" am now perfectly FREE! "I am" now established in my own center and from my center flows only perfection!

As the higher life begins to unfold before you, have absolute faith in the powers that guide you. And above all, keep your mind attuned and in harmony with the "Law of Supply" by maintaining a constant state of gratitude.

The knowledge needed to master life is now in your hands. You have nothing left to do but assert your mastery in the direction of your fondest dream.

We hope that each sincere student of these instructions shall find his own happiness and realize--fullness of manifestation through natural law.

Remember: "I" HAVE COME SO THAT "I" MIGHT HAVE LIFE AND "I AM" GOING TO HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY!
